I'm very excited to share that we have managed to adopt another elephant - Frankie, who is the current matriarch of the elephant herd at Thula Thula.
Frankie took over from Nana (who we adopted previously), as the matriarch of the herd after Nana became old, and was having trouble with her eyesight. Frankie was the fiesty young girl who was suspicious of humans when she first came to Thula Thula. She has now matured to become the matriarch of the herd. As the boss of the herd, she is a strict disciplinarian and keeps the young bulls in check.
