I am delighted to share that the piece I did for the Arts Association of Singapore's International Art Competition 2022, won Gold.
Vibrance vs. Vanity
Ever since the industrial revolution, the rapid development of our race has led humans to vainly think of themselves as separate and superior to the rest of the inhabitants of the planet. Our pursuit to establish ourselves as the dominant species through excessive industrialization, has led to the eradication of thousands of animals, birds & plants, and the destruction of ecosystems that are essential to all life.
This artwork aims to show the irony of how as vain humans try to raise themselves above nature, we replace vibrant forests and fields with colourless concrete jungles; draining the colour, the beauty and the soul of our planet.
